about the work



During an Amanae session or workshop, the practitioner works with their hands on the body. We are exploring with openness and curiosity that the body is showing us. The work is performed with you laying unclothed but covered and we uncover the sections we are working on as we go along. The body may experience different sensations during a session.


Amanae harmonizes the Physical Body with the Emotional and Energy Bodies. During the Amanae process strong sensations are explored with all our senses. Instead of judging the sensation as bad or good, you simply bring your breath and your receptive attention to the sensation. Whereas before, this experience might just have been annoying, during the Amanae process you might discover the deeper qualities of this sensation. You may discover for example, that the strong sensation at a deeper level also contains sadness. As you allow the deeper sensations and feelings to be felt, expressed and witnessed, all supported by the practitioner, a harmony begins to form, a connection to all parts of you, an acceptance and release.


physical body

During an Amanae session the practitioner will make physical movements on your body. These include pressing, circling, flicking and holding. You might feel different physical sensations during a session, such as warmth, tenderness, sharpness, numbness, heaviness, tingling. During a session the physical sensations you are feeling in the body may change, and after a session the areas that have been worked can feel physically quite different. Sometimes the area that has been worked can feel more flexible, open, lighter, relaxed. In many cases physical pain is relieved during a session.

emotional body

Amanae can support you and your body to express emotions that have been suppressed. Emotions that for some reason weren’t expressed in the moment they were felt or had been ‘stopped’ in some way. Some practitioners describe amanae as (in part) emotional release work. Sadness & tears, happiness & laughter, anger & rage, shame, frustration, sorrow, pity, fear, disgust and everything in between and beyond are all welcome in an amanae session. The rationalisation and categorisation can come after, for that moment we want to allow the emotion to flow.

energy body

Amanae works with energy and sometimes you might experience energy moving during a session. The way in which energy is experienced differs for everyone so is hard to fully define in just a few words. For some people energy can be experienced visually (seeing colours/images), for some it’s tangible (warmth, shivers, soothing sensations etc), for some is audible and for some it’s a knowing, a congnisence. Others don’t connect with the concept and that’s also ok.  It is an important part of the work whether we can define it and how it feels or not. There is also a form of amanae that is purely energy work. This is called Frequencies of Brilliance. 



The key difference with Amanae bodywork is its emphasis on you doing the work with the support of the practitioner, in contrast to therapeutic interventions where you are in ‘receive’ mode.  To have a session, attend a workshop or to train in amanae shows a huge commitment. A commitment to ourselves, to our health, our wellbeing, our hearts and our souls. Amanae requires a powerful commitment to doing the work, to seeing ourselves, to being brave and honest and open-minded.


The practitioner works ‘with you’ not ‘on you’. During a session they are responsible for holding space and staying connected to what is happening with you as well as being in their own energy and maintaining focus.


the breath

Breath, as in life, is a key element in Amanae. You and the practitioner will use particular breathing techniques as part of the session. You may be asked to ‘breathe to a certain area of the body’, or breathe more deeply, or exhale more.  The breath sometimes acts like an accelerator helping the release happen more quickly, easily, smoothly. Both the inhale and the exhale matter - opening us up and reminding us to let go.



You may be reminded of particular memories during a session. The practitioner may remind you of someone or the words they say may remind you of a story from your past. We are not looking to ‘relive those memories’ but to reconnect with them so any discomfort around them may be release.  By allowing the memories to come we are sometimes able to find a new relationship with them.


the doorways

You may see/ hear the word ‘doorway’ referred to by Amanae practitioners, students and teachers. The points that are worked during a session are known as ‘doorways’ in Amanae. The Amanae technique includes around 200 'doorways' in the body. The doorways are described as openings to our spiritual selves. As we work to clear the ‘doorways’ we can more clearly and deeply experience our purest selves.



The practitioner may make sound during a session. You may make sound during a session. Some practitioners start sessions and workshops with a practice called ‘toning’.  These sounds can be songs, words, loud and quiet noises, laughter, coughing, shouting, screaming, crying or just talking, recounting something that the body has remembered during the session. All sounds are welcome, as is silence. Some practitioners include sound healing in their sessions.



Amanae is not a traditional ‘talking therapy’ although some practitioners combine it with psychotherapy and body psychotherapy. You may spend parts of the session in discussion, explaining what is happening in your body, describing what you are feeling, what you are experiencing. The practitioner may verbally encourage you toward sensations that feel a little strange. They may share their experiences with you and coach you into connecting with your own. It is not the analysis of the feelings here that are as important as really connecting with the experience of them and sometimes words can help.



During a session you may feel things rising to the surface to be released. Along with the breath, the physical movements and the support of the practitioner your body may release certain things. Laughter, tears, coughing, sounds, words, mucous, gasses, movement can all work their way to the surface to be expressed during an Amanae session. It’s not uncommon for memories to arise during a session that you may wish to explore as part of, or after, the session.



Amanae was founded over 25 years ago by Christine Day. Born and raised in Australia, Christine experienced a traumatic childhood involving cult ritual abuse. In 1986, following a diagnosis of advanced systemic lupus, and having been told she had just two months to live, Christine experienced a profound spiritual awakening with the Pleiadians, which enabled her to move into a place of self healing. During her awaking she received the Pleiadian healing works of Ámanae and Frequencies of Brilliance.  


“With startling clarity, I instantly remembered my mission here: I was to act as a Pleiadian ambassador here on this earth plane. Christine began teaching Amanae in the US and Israel beginning in the '90s and many of her students still practice or have set up Amanae Schools to continue sharing the work themselves.



Over the past two and a half decades, Christine has become internationally renowned as the “Pleiadian Ambassador”, as a gifted spiritual teacher, healer and channel.  She is globally renowned for her powerful and life changing Transmissions of Light that she channels from the Pleiadians. In order to move forward into this re-awakening, we must first turn back and honor ourselves for our humanness, to hold ourselves in love, compassion, and patience for all that we have lived in this lifetime, and to understand and embrace the fact that we are “perfectly imperfect” in our humanness.


The Pleiadians speak of our mission in this lifetime, that we have come here to change our relationship to our human selves, moving from a 3rd dimensional relationship of self-condemnation to a 4th/5th dimensional relationship of self acceptance. And at the same time we consciously reconnect to our spiritual nature of our higher selves. The Pleiadians say we will achieve this in this lifetime.
